Client Imtech Process for Thames Water
Location Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire
Value £220k
Objective
Thames Water required modifications to the existing Wastewater Treatment Works to bring the effluent into full compliance current regulations. The contracts were awarded to main contractor Imtech
What did the project involve?
Our subcontract involved the construction of various reinforced concrete foundation pads, installation of cable ducts, drainage pipework, ductile iron pipework and valves. The scope also included the installation of reinforced concrete pathways and associated landscaping.
One of the major considerations for the effective execution of this project was the lack of working space. The planning of the work by Adroit had to give full consideration to the lack of space which included examining in detail construction methods.
e.g. chambers had to be constructed in two halves to suit the commissioning programme.
