Scope

Adroit Construction were responsible installing a new deck to an existing railway bridge structure.

The project involved the following:

• Set up Road Closure & Diversion Route
• Reduce brickwork abutment level
• Install new precast concrete Cill units, Deck beams and parapets
• Drill & dowel beams & cills to existing abutment
• Insitu concrete to deck stitch
• Supply and install new steelwork lattice handrail
• Deck Waterproofing
• Re-build brickwork pilasters, removed to enable original deck to be removed
• Brickwork re-pointing
• Replace existing fencing

Programme

Work commenced mid October 2009 and was completed within the Clients programme of 10 weeks
