Scope
To construct reinforced concrete transformer/cooler bund substructure 19m x 12m x 2.6m deep with brick Noise Enclosure superstructure.

Full compliance with National Grid Rules for working within a live substation, the works involving deep excavations (600m3), sheet piling as ground support (500m2), steel reinforcement (19 tonnes), formwork (560m2), concrete pump pours and contract crane lifts (under rules), pre-cast concrete floor and roof beams (450m2), in-situ screeds. Solid face/engineering brick wall and contractor designed secure roof access covers for transformer maintenance. The concrete substructure was water tested as a 50,000 ltr capacity tank.
