Objective
To provide an economic source of renewable energy at Llyn Brenig Dam.

What did the project involve?
Sited at an impounding reservoir used as a feeder for the River Dee system and located 15km west of Ruthin in North Wales.

Power plant will operate from the compensation out flow ranging from 180 to 200L/s with an available pressure of 48m head and producing up to 60kW which is the limit of the incoming supply to the site.

Package includes a single jet, horizontal Turgo type turbine directly coupled to an induction generator arranged to export all of the generated power to the grid system.

Our scope of supply under CDM regulation covers the design, supply, installation and commissioning of complete hydro power generation system involving all civil, mechanical and electrical work.
