Objective
To minimise the risk to the environment at various LMD’s across the country where refuelling operations are carried out. To be achieved by upgrading existing depot assets and taking measures to prevent accidental release of contaminants into surrounding land and water. Depots upgraded by Adroit as part of this project span from Wimbledon in the South East, to Worcester in the Midlands and Sheffield in the North.

What did the project involve?
The project particulars varied across the scheme, with each LMD requiring different facilities to be upgraded and in different ways.

In delivery of this project, Adroit successfully completed the installation of numerous storage and waste transfer tanks, welded mild and stainless steel pipelines, pump assemblies, control and failsafe systems, pumping systems, lifting assemblies and steel support systems.

One of the many key aspects to Adroit’s delivery of this project was the ability to not only fabricate an entire array of custom steel products, but also install them in a timely manner using trained and competent PTS trained tradesman working to the highest quality control standards.

This project proved Adroit’s capability to deliver specialised services across the country and also the company’s commitment to the continual improvement of our nation’s rail network. Adroit is now looking at a wider range of schemes on behalf of this client, as well as undertaking negotiations with several new clients for a variety of civil, mechanical and electrical engineering projects.
